Introduction

Environmental Testing laboratories provide a critical service to public health and our surrounding environment. In order to maintain a state of continual operation, these facilities must anticipate and plan for regulatory changes, economic challenges, technical advances and other unexpected events - for example, natural disasters and the recent COVID-19 pandemic. This article highlights current and future technology trends that will enable environmental testing laboratories to adapt to predicted and unforeseen future issues.
